Corydoras kanei, C026, C046
This is a rare cory catfish that isn't seen in the hobby very often.
A small species of catfish from the family Callyichthydae endemic to Brazil where it is found in the Negros River basin. It is externally similar to Corydoras atropersonatus, but its spots are denser and unlike the former, it has caudal markings - markings on its tail fins. Breeding can be accomplished by feeding a mixture of live foods and catfish pellets, after which frequent cold water changes can trigger them to spawn. A gravid female will lay around 60 eggs; heavy oxygenation of the water is likely to be more efficacious at saving fry than using methylene blue. Fry grow slowly and reach around 2 cm after 8 months. It is not recommended to add different fish into the fry rearing tank. They do not mind lower temperatures and can be kept with species of fish that are endemic to low-temperature habitats, such as Sewellia lineolata. To appreciate this fish, they should be kept in a large group in a well-oxygenated, fairly bright tank which nonetheless has some hiding areas. They will give off a beautiful silvery/blue shine as they swim through the tank.

Live Arrival Guarantee
Due to changes we have made in some of our policies, we have now made this guarantee conditional. There are certain policies that our customers must agree to in order to receive a live arrival guarantee. Please look over our terms and conditions before you finalize your order. If you don't agree with, or are not able to obey any One of the terms and conditions in the guarantee, then please understand that we can NOT honor our end of the guarantee. We are sorry and appologize for having to be so strict with our policies, however, we have decided that it is in our, and our livestock's best interest to releive ourselves of the responsiblity of rembursing the neglectful buyer who violates our policies.
Guarantee is only available to the customers who can obey all the policies and proceedures). This guarantee comes with terms and conditions that our customers MUST agree to.
1) Agree to be at delivery destination at the time of package delivery. (On 1st delivery attempt)
2) Must agree to sign for the package in order to receive the package. (NOT signing, or NOT being there to sign voids the live arrival guarantee)
3) Billing address MUST be the same as shipping address.
4) agree not to use PO box as destination address for package. We wont be able to fulfill an order without a physical address.
5) Customer CANNOT request that package be held at post office for customer pick up. (see exception below)
**when a buyer asks for a package to be held at post office, the post office marks it as delivered as soon as it arrives there, and this creates an issue with the ONE hour time limit on reporting dead livestock because it may be a couple of hours before the buyer can pick up the package from the post office.
We DON"T want to punish the customer who chooses to have their package held at the post office by not honoring our guarantee. We appreciate the fact that the customer is doing what is best for the livestock by having package held at the post office instead of sitting on their porch & being exposed to temperature extremes. If you are going to have your package held at your local post office for pickup, please select the option (Post Office Pick-up) in the drop down menu before adding to cart. This lets us know to notify the post office and let them know that the package pickup must be time-stamped.
